Custom: Sistar | Bora

When you think girl K-pop group the first is usually Girls' Generation, but there are some other talented groups as well and Sistar is one of them. The four girls are quite talented in their own right and have a more mature, sexy and seductive feel compared to many other groups and they back that up with some of the strongest vocals around. To round out the package their best dancer and rapper is Bora. Continue Reading

Bandai | S.H. MonsterArts | Godzilla (Heisei)

I saw a few movies at the theater when I was living in Japan. I say few because I used to go to the movies a lot. I say few because it's quite expensive to see movies in Japan, and the experience is a bit different than what we have in the U.S. Usually a sports buzzer goes off when the movie is about to start, they also have movie memorabilia you can only get at the theater, and in some cases, you have assigned seats, all for the nice price of almost $20 just for the ticket. One of the movies I saw was supposed to be the last Godzilla movie made by Toei. Continue Reading

Custom: The Dark Knight Trilogy | Lucius Fox

Behind every great here is a great... tech provider. At least in the case of Batman. Bruce Wayne was very selective in his allies and Lucius Fox was essentially his left-hand man with Alfred being the right. Fox provided Batman with all the tech and weaponry in his vigilante crusade to rid Gotham of crime and corruption. Although he was essential in the comics, the character was never exposed on the big screen until Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. Continue Reading

Bandai | S.H. Figuarts | Kamen Rider X

When a franchise has a very strong character, it's hard to top it off with the next version. For better or for worse, Kamen Rider X had to carry to torch from fan favorite Kamen Rider V3. The series had some good things, but ultimately felt weaker compared to his predecessor and actually had cameos by both V3 and Rider 2 most likely to help boost ratings. The first half of the series struggled and when Apollo Geist came around things got better. Continue Reading

Mattel | MOTU Classics | Rio Blast

Every once in awhile you get a lemon. For MOTU Classics, you can get a bunch. Rio Blast is one of the worst finished products out of the package that I've come across in a long time and I'd like to share it with you. I simply cannot understand how this item made it past through review, QC, and everything else in between. It's an insult from a company that is known for shenanigans from time to time. I give you Rio Blast. Continue Reading
