The new season of Hawaii Five-O is fast approaching so it seemed like a good idea to reveal my custom figure of Kono Kalakaua. I'm a big fan of Grace Park. I really liked her in Battlestar Galactica and some of the other independent movies she's been in. I have a love/hate relationship with Medicom. They used to be a company I really liked because they produced some really nice things. A long time ago. These days, I'm not impressed. At all. Every once in awhile an action figure gets produced that you never thought would happen. It's not because it's a bad idea but rather because nobody really thought about doing one from a commercial success perspective. The Figuarts line has been mostly geared towards popular and heroic characters like Kamen Rider, Sailor Moon and Ultraman, so it was quite an interesting piece of news to see that they would be releasing Sadako from The Ring.
